Business IT Pros started in 2017 at the suggestion of some former clients of Steve’s. We have steadily grown since then and have a goal of adding 1 additional team member per year for the next few years to provide opportunities for growth for our team members in addition to providing economies of scale for our clients while preserving our personalized service.

Meet The Team
Steve Bakker
Managing Director
Steve began at ComputerLand as a software support person a long time ago and loved it. There was lots of consolidation in the Australian IT industry at the time and ownership bounced around.
Steve began at ComputerLand as a software support person a long time ago and loved it. There was lots of consolidation in the Australian IT industry at the time and ownership bounced around. Later Steve moved to the public sector where he had three employers in two years close. That was when it was time to start his first IT Business. New Age Solutions was built from scratch and sold 21 years later to Steve’s first employee. For a few years of rest Steve became involved in a number of not-for-profit organisations, most of which he continues to support. In 2017 some former clients lured me back into the IT industry when Business IT Pros was born.
I love the variety of the work that we do and watching our clients grow and succeed.
Outside of work Steve likes to ride e-assisted devices including mountain bikes, skateboards, and recently started e-foiling. Also enjoy helping a Myanmar charity called New Life Trust and taking our dog Bozo to the Qld Children’s Hospital with Delta Therapy Dogs.

Corey has worked personally and under a manager in the technology industry for over 10 years. Beginning in high school and amassing a large amount of knowledge, Corey is valuable team asset having experience in all aspects of networking, security, hardware, software and servers to name a few.
When he’s not saving the day, Corey is enjoying a variety of table top RPGs and scuba diving.

After graduating with a certificate IV in cyber security from Melbourne Polytechnic and winning the student project award, Jackson secured a place amongst the top graduates of Melbourne for 2021 in the Internet 2.0 mentorship program. After finding a place among the elite team at Business IT professionals, Jackson looks forward to assisting our fantastic clients with their IT needs and seeing what challenges each day brings.
In his spare time Jackson enjoys board games, camping, hiking and caring for animals.

Kirby has had a variety of roles including lifeguard, croupier, childcare, and office assistant. He eventually began his IT journey working onsite for one of Australia’s top law firms.
Kirby has had a variety of roles including lifeguard, croupier, childcare, and office assistant. He eventually began his IT journey working onsite for one of Australia’s top law firms. Deciding it was time for something new he moved to Brisbane to secure a Bachelor of Audio Engineering and Sound Production at JMC Academy. The call of IT was too strong and, after completing a Certificate IV in Cyber Security, Kirby joined the team at BITP.
In his spare time, Kirby enjoys all things music, playing volleyball and Dungeons & Dragons.
